Students log in to Zearn’s online math platform and complete personalized digital lessons aligned to their grade-level, with built-in Tier 1 intervention. We recommend that students complete four digital lessons each week to reinforce and deepen their grade-level learning. If students are also using Zearn during core math time, teachers may choose to have students work on foundational lessons aligned to instruction.
In addition to your broader tutoring program, we recommend tutors lead discussion around at least one grade-level word problem each week. Word problems support tutors with engaging students in rich math discussion that emphasizes a variety of problem solving strategies. Zearn offers accounts for tutors where they can access all materials.
Zearn’s online math platform supports teachers and tutors with collaborating to support student progress. Depending on your account setup, teachers can assign content for students to complete during each tutoring session and can monitor Zearn Reports to see student progress and where students need extra support.
